Students browse in the Sosnick Library

Sosnick Library

After its destruction by arsonists in 1999, the Sosnick Library has been rebuilt to house one of the largest Jewish synagogue collections in Northern California.  The collection contains over 5,000 adult and children’s books, as well as hundreds of DVDs and videos included within the Jewish Heritage Video Collection.

The Sosnick Library is open to all congregants for browsing and self-checkout during regular business hours.  The Library is staffed on Sunday mornings during Religious School and during the week by appointment for all library-related needs.

Non-members are welcome to use the Sosnick Library for reference work, and may also join the Library for a small annual fee.  Library membership includes checkout privileges.

If you would like to make an appointment, or have questions about the Sosnick Library, please contact the librarian, Poshi Mikalson or call the temple office, 916-446-4861, x18.
