Tzedakah Options

TzedakahTzedakah is based on the Hebrew word, "tzedek," and while it is commonly translated as "charity," it is more closely related to "justice." Unlike charity or philanthropy, which are voluntary, tzedakah is seen as a religious obligation, which must be performed regardless of financial standing.

EScrip for Safeway and many other merchants

If you haven't signed up for EScrip yet, go to www.escrip.com. If you have a Safeway Club Card in hand, and the main credit cards you use for shopping, you can safely register them once you sign up. During the process, you will have the opportunity to identify a benefit group. Be sure to select Women (Sisterhood) of Congregation B'nai Israel and Group Number 141037313. Then every purchase you make at Safeway and hundreds of other merchants will generate a donation to the Women of B'nai Israel, and ultimately every dollar supports the congregation. You only have to do this one time. Thereafter, it is automatic.
