Securing Our Future
L’Dor V’Dor… from Generation to Generation

We stand on the shoulders of those who went before us.  In 1849, a small group of Jews gathered to celebrate the High Holidays and founded Congregation B’nai Israel.  Those Gold Rush pioneers created a legacy on which each succeeding generation has continued to build.  We are the beneficiaries of their foresight, commitment and love of Judaism.

As we benefit from the legacy of our predecessors, we recognize that we have the opportunity and the duty to pass along the blessings bestowed upon us.  You can add a building block to the strong foundation that has enabled B’nai Israel to endure and grow by creating a legacy gift.

Creating a legacy gift is a goal that anyone can achieve.  It is not just for the wealthy or the aged.  Gifts come in many forms and amounts. There is no minimum gift required and no expectation of payment while you are living.  Legacy gifts are usually only a percentage of an estate and demonstrate to your heirs your commitment to Jewish values.

You can direct a gift toward a specific interest such as education, social action, the B’nai Israel endowment (investment) funds, or toward the general benefit of the Congregation.  It’s all about your vision for the future.  Congregation B’nai Israel is committed to honoring your intentions.

Create a legacy that will sustain and nurture our cherished congregation long into the future.  You can take the first step by filling out a Letter of Intent.  If you have already made a provision for Congregation B’nai Israel in your estate plan, if you intend to make such a provision in the near future, or if you just want to investigate estate planning opportunities, please contact the L’Dor V’Dor Legacy Circle at This email address is being protected from spambots.
